Multidisciplinary Projects for the Fellowship

Postdoctoral scholarships will be affiliated with one of six possible multidisciplinary projects:

  • Semantic analysis of single-cell data
  • Expulsion events as drivers of evolution in endosymbiotic systems
  • Modeling forest carbon sequestration in a dynamic world
  • Statistical learning for Chronosilviculture
  • Modeling arctic soil-pore networks undergoing environmental-induced structural changes
  • Intelligent wearable sensors for in-the-field individual assessment and feedback for improved movement control after knee injury

Multidisciplinary Postdoctoral Fellowships in Sweden

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following/given criteria:

  • Applicants must start their studies in the winter/spring of 2023.
  • Students must have completed a Ph.D. to be eligible and have expertise in mathematical and computational modeling.
  • Preference should be given to applicants who have completed their doctoral studies no later than three years in advance.
  • If there are special reasons, candidates who have previously completed a Ph.D. may also be eligible.
  • Special reasons include absence due to illness, parental leave, union trust appointments, military service, or similar circumstances, as well as clinical practice or other forms of appointment/assignment relevant to the area.
  • Students must have completed a Ph.D. to be eligible and have expertise in mathematical and computational modeling.
  • Personal qualities such as cooperation, communication, strong motivation, critical thinking skills, creativity, and analytical skills are essential. You should be able to undertake research independently and as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written, is required.

Documents Required

The following documents are required with application for Postdoctoral Fellowships in Sweden:

  • A cover letter clearly stating which project or projects you are particularly interested in and summarizing your qualifications, your scientific interests, and reasons for applying (max. 2 pages),
  • curriculum vitae (CV) with a list of publications,
  • a certified copy of the certificate of doctoral studies,
  • Certified copies of other diplomas, a list of completed academic courses and grades,
  • Copy of doctoral thesis,
  • copies of relevant publications,
  • Contact details of at least two reference persons,
  • Other documents that the applicant wants to apply.
